Allie & Jake at Abella Weddings & Events

Abella Weddings & Events · Chisago City, MN

This is Allie and Jake’s romantic summer wedding at Abella Weddings & Events in Chisago City, Minnesota. We filmed their wedding weekend from a rehearsal dinner on the Four Seasons Minneapolis rooftop through their wedding day at Abella — a French country–inspired estate about thirty-five minutes from the Twin Cities.

Fun fact from the original Alma post: not only are Allie and Jake pilots for large commercial airlines — both of their dads are too. That shared sky runs through the weekend’s energy, but the film stays with how the day felt on the ground: vows under a white-and-blush floral arch, family close by, and a reception team that kept the celebration moving.

Romantic Summer Wedding at Abella by Alma Films - Allie + Jake

Abella Weddings & Events in Chisago City

Abella Weddings & Events sits at 11720 256th Street in Chisago City, Minnesota — a secluded French country–inspired property with a modern reception hall, historic barn, and outdoor ceremony spaces among the trees. For couples searching for a Chisago City or greater Twin Cities wedding videographer, it asks for a filmmaker who can hold open lawn light and close emotion in the same frame.

Allie and Jake’s outdoor ceremony gathered on a green lawn before a full floral arch in whites, creams, and soft blush — roses and greenery dense enough to feel like a garden doorway. White chairs lined the aisle; the trees behind held the summer brightness. The film stays with that landscape as atmosphere, not as the whole story.

Alma Films, on Allie and Jake

Four Seasons Minneapolis, then a summer wedding day

The weekend began the night before on the Four Seasons Minneapolis rooftop — a rehearsal dinner above the city before the celebration moved northeast to Abella. On the wedding day, Jake appears in classic black tie against Abella’s lawn and white porch lines; Allie in a floral-appliqué gown and veil, white roses in hand.

We followed the motion of the day rather than forcing a single mood: quiet portraits, vows exchanged under the arch with bridesmaids in sage green nearby, and the easy joy of two people who clearly enjoy each other. No invented timeline — only what the film and Alma’s original post make clear about where the weekend unfolded.

Vendors, voices, and what carried the film

Trish Allison Photography photographed the celebration alongside Alma Films. Ergo Floral shaped the ceremony arch and aisle details; Chowgirls Catering handled dinner and dessert; With A Twist Bartending kept the bar moving; Bluewater Kings Band brought live music. Beauty was Lady Vamp Artistry; Allie’s dress and veil from Pallas Couture; Jake’s tuxedo from J.Crew Factory.

Stationery from Minted, a photo booth from Studio Veil, live painting by Kristin Chase Art, transportation with Executive Transportation and Lux Party Bus, and choreography from Dance Works Performing Arts rounded out a vendor team listed on Alma’s original post. Years from now, Allie and Jake will not only see the arch and the lawn — they will feel the weekend that started on a Minneapolis rooftop and landed at Abella.

Why this film matters

An Abella wedding film is not a tour of a white barn property. It is a record of how love looked when two pilots — and a family that flies too — gathered for a summer celebration in Chisago City. That is the story we were honored to preserve for Allie and Jake.
